How to Change the Server Version
Changing your server's version is a way to access new features, fix bugs, or ensure compatibility with certain mods and plugins. Follow these steps to perform the change safely.
Step 1: Access the Versions section
- Log in to the XeroHost control panel: https://panel.xerohost.net
- Select the Minecraft server you want to configure.
- In the left menu, go to the "Versions" section.
- This section will show you the different versions and server types available, such as Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, and others.

Step 2: Choose the server type and version
- Select the server type you want to install (for example, Paper).

- Next, all available versions will be displayed. Choose the one you want by clicking on it.

Step 3: Install the new version
Once you choose the version, a confirmation window will appear with two important options:
Wipe Server Files:
Warning: If you enable this option, all of your current server files will be **deleted**. If you want to keep anything (like maps or mods/plugins), be sure to make a backup before continuing.
Accept EULA:
You must check this box to confirm that you have read and accept the Minecraft EULA (End-User License Agreement), which is a requirement to run the server.
Step 4: Confirm the installation
- Once you have selected the desired options, click the Install button.
- The panel will begin installing the new version. This process may take a few seconds or minutes.
- When it's finished, you can start your server with the new version.
