How to Add a Person to the Game Panel

Allowing other users to access your server's console is useful so they can manage it without needing access to your entire account. Follow these steps to safely add a subuser.

Step 1: Access the "Users" Section

  1. Log in to the XeroHost control panel: https://panel.xerohost.net
  2. Select the Minecraft server you want to configure.
  3. In the left menu, go to the "Users" section.

Step 2: Invite a new subuser

  1. On the Users page, find and click the button for New User.
  2. You will be asked for the email address of the person you want to invite. Type the email address and click on Invite User. To invite them, you must give them at least a startup permission.

  3. The user will receive an email with an invitation to join your server. They must accept it to proceed.

Step 3: Assign subuser permissions

  1. Once the user has accepted the invitation, click on "Modify permissions" to view and edit their permissions.
  2. You will see a list of permissions you can enable or disable, such as start, stop, and restart of the server. Select the ones you need.
  3. Once you have configured the permissions, save the changes.

Important notes

  • Limited access: Subusers will only have access to the functions you have assigned them, which keeps your main account secure.

  • Console permissions: Make sure to give them console access if they need to view logs or run commands.

  • Do not share passwords: Never share your main control panel password. The subuser system is designed to prevent this practice.

  • File management: If a subuser needs to modify files, you can also give them permissions to access the Files section.
