How to Create an IP Address for my Server (Subdomain)
Creating a subdomain allows you to have an easy-to-remember address for your server, such as "game.xerohost.net", instead of a numerical IP address with a port. This makes it easier for players to connect.
Step 1: Access the Subdomain Section
- Log in to the XeroHost control panel: https://panel.xerohost.net
- Select the server you want to configure.
- In the left menu, go to the Subdomain section.

Step 2: Configure the Subdomain
Once in the section, you will see the fields to create the new address:
- In the Subdomain field, type the first part of the address you want. For example, if you want your address to be `game.xerohost.net`, type `game`.
- The Domain field will be pre-filled with your main domain (e.g., `xerohost.net`). You can leave it as it is or select another.

Step 3: Create the Subdomain
Once you have typed the desired address, simply click the Create button. The panel will create the new address and associate it with your server's IP.
Step 4: Verify the Creation
You can confirm that the subdomain has been created correctly by looking at the list below the button. You will see the new address you created along with your server's IP and port.
example.xerohost.net
Important Notes
-
DNS Propagation: It can take a few minutes (up to 15 minutes in some cases) for the new address to be accessible worldwide.
-
Ease of Use: Now you can give your players your subdomain address (`game.xerohost.net`) instead of the full IP address, making it easier for them to join.
